May Beauty Faves

Happy Humpday! I’ve got some amazing beauty products to share with you this month, so let’s get to them!

  1. Matrix Style Link Mineral Play Back. Matrix has been killing it this year with their products. Being that I already was in love with the Style Link product line, I was eager to get my hands on their new mineral products. This dry shampoo has a great feel to it, as well as easy application and a wonderful smell!
  2. Circle of Friends Chocolate Shampoo. If you have kids (or you’re a kid at heart) this product line is so fun! I want to highlight this particular product because I’m so impressed with it’s performance on my children’s crazy curly hair. They love it because it smells like chocolate pudding, and I love it because of the incredible shine and control it gives their hair.
  3. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye. I recently came across this eye cream and from the first time I sampled it, I was hooked. The texture feels amazing and I love how it makes my eyes look! I also like wearing it during the day. My makeup lays really nicely over it.
  4. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. A few weeks ago I saw a video posted by Kandee Johnson about this foundation. Take a look at it and you’ll see why I was instantly sold! I purchased it as soon as I could and I’ve been loving it! Thanks Kandee!

Happy Mani Monday! I’m so excited to share my fab mani that I got done over the weekend! It was the Mother’s Day gift I was wanting, coffin nails! I’m seriously obsessed with them!!

The bracelet that I’m wearing was hand crafted by one of my friends that lives on Maui. She goes diving for shells and then makes these fab bracelets and rings. It’s pretty much been part of my daily attire lately. If you need a bracelet (or ten) like mine, you can send inquiries to Bree Rubin here.

Have a great week loves!

April Beauty Faves: At Home Spa

Hi loves! I’ve been really excited to share my beauty faves this month!

Early last month, I saw an ad in my email for Victoria’s Secret Weightless Body Oil. I was instantly intrigued. The timing was perfect because I had just received a birthday coupon from the store, so what better time to try it out when I could get it for free!

When I got to the store, I realized that there were other products that went along with the oil, and got suckered into getting everything by one of the very helpful beauty stockers. He explained that the whole system was meant to go together to create an at-home spa experience. I was sold. I could hardly wait to get home and pamper myself.

You start with the Smoothing Scrub Wash, which isn’t a super aggressive scrub, but you can feel the beads as is gently exfoliates. Rinse. Next, you use the Ultrarich Cream Wash, which feels soooo incredibly soft on your skin! It’s meant to put the moisture back into your skin after exfoliating, and feels like a lotion/conditioner, but it’s rich and lathery at the same time. Bottom line: Uh-mazing. After you’ve rinsed and gotten out of the shower, apply the Hydrating Body Lotion and then follow up with the Weightless Body Oil. Your skin feels so silky! I often put the Weightless Body Oil on while my skin is still a bit damp, and then put the Hydrating Body Lotion on later.

I never really associated Victoria’s Secret with phenomenal body care, but these products blew me away! I’m hooked. I have to make note that my absolute faves of the 4 products are the Ultrarich Cream Wash and the Weightless Body Oil, just in case you want to be choosey and only try a couple. The scent collections include: Rose, Shea, Coconut Milk, Acai, Passionflower, Bergamot, and Verbena.

2016 hair styles all have one thing in common: TEXTURE. Whether your hair is long or short, texture is where it’s at.  Most of the cuts you’re seeing have textured piecey layers, framing, or bangs. But even for the blunt lobs that are out there, tousled waves are keeping them with the trend.

There is also a big 70’s influence in hair right now which I’m loving. Middle parts and shaggy layers are very prominent.  I’ve been playing with a middle part again now that my hair has gotten longer, and I even did a little cutting on myself over the weekend! I’ll be sure to share my updated hair with you soon!

Which of these cuts is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! I may even have the chance to make some of you over!

Happy Good Friday! I’m so grateful for this day! My family and I are going to a service being held at the  Blaisdell Arena by New Hope Oahu tonight. They will be having their Easter services there also and I’m pretty excited for all of it!

Jumping to this look I’m wearing, I’ve been looking forward to sharing this denim shirt dress with you! It’s such a comfortable and versatile piece for me. It feels very flattering on my body and I love that it can go with so many pairs of shoes. I decided to rock my new fringe heels with it here which gives a nice pop of color.

Before I sign off, I have to point out my fabulous Pisces nail polish that I bought from Julep earlier this month. Naturally I’ve had it on for most of the month. Photos do not do it justice of what it looks like in person. It has an iridescentness (I’m making up words here!) to it as the light hits it from different angles. It’s a beautiful color!

What are your plans for Easter Weekend? Let me know in the comments below!

March Beauty Faves : Sugar Shine

Happy Humpday! Get ready to be beautiful because I have a new collection of beauty faves sure to indulge your sweet tooth!

Matrix has been on a roll lately! Last month I shared their release of Oil Wonders Volume Rose, and this month they have released yet another winner to their Biolage line called Sugar Shine.  If winter has left your hair dull and lacking shine, this is the product line for you! I’ll briefly tell you about the products, so you can know what to expect.

Your path to locks with luster starts with the Sugar Shine Polishing Hair Scrub. On damp hair, divide your hair into sections and emulsify the sugar scrub through your mid-lengthes and ends until the sugar has dissolved. Think about a body scrub and how it removes all the dead skin cells to reveal fresh  new skin underneath. This polishing scrub is doing the same thing for your hair by removing all the impurities. Once the sugar has dissolved, rinse thoroughly.

Next you shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would using the Sugar Shine Shampoo and Sugar Shine Conditioner. When your hair is towel dried and ready for styling, get ready to bust out my new favorite secret weapon! Sugar Shine Illumination Mist can be sprayed through damp or dry hair to seal in shine and smooth fly-aways and has heat protection up to 450 degrees! This makes it the perfect mist to use prior to using a flat iron or curling iron.

This really is an amazing system that has completely blown my socks off. It’s like a little spa treatment for my hair every time I shower. And I must add, it smells heavenly. I don’t know what the official scent is supposed to be, but I’m pretty sure it smells exactly like a Lemon Lavender Yankee Candle. I may or may not have licked the scrub because I couldn’t help myself! I’m going to kindly advise you not do that! It’s much better on your head 😉

February Beauty Faves: Volume Rose

I can’t believe that February is almost over! You didn’t think that I’d let this month slip away without giving you my beauty faves did you? Let’s jump straight to them!

This month my beauty faves are a collection. Matrix released a new line of styling products just a few weeks ago, to add to their Oil Wonders collection called Volume Rose.  I was already bonkers over their basic Oil Wonders line, so you can imagine my excitement over their new addition!

If you have limp hair and need volume, this product line is for you! The best part? You don’t have to sacrifice the moisture of your hair to achieve it! Most volumizing products leave the hair feeling dry and stiff, but Volume Rose has rose hip oil in it to nourish the hair without weighing it down. And the scent…uh-mazing! I was hesitant about the thought of a rose scent initially, as granny rose came to mind. These products however, have top, middle and bottom notes, just like fine fragrances for your skin, and make your nose dance. Get ready to fall in love!

Fishy Fishy

Hey hey hey! My birthday is less than 2 weeks away! I’m  getting ready for my March takeover! (I know I can’t be the only one who designates their entire birthday month to themselves!)

I’ve decided to start off my birthday celebration with Julep. This year they have kicked off a zodiac collection of polish. Of course I had to place my order as soon as they revealed their shade for Pisces! While I was at it, I realized that they also had a hue for my birthstone. Into the shopping cart it went!

Make sure to sign up for Julep email updates so you can be notified of when your shade is revealed!
